About Me

With more than 20 years’ experience navigating Scotland’s engineering and regulatory landscape, I’ve designed, led, and coordinated complex infrastructure projects from concept through handover. My work spans early‑stage and detailed design, cost optimisation, regulatory compliance, planning support, sustainability, and high‑quality SuDS design, with a focus on practical, cost‑effective solutions that keep projects on track.Passionate about sustainability and ensuring early stages are done well, I've founded MinARva to direct that experience where it has the greatest impact: helping teams shape stronger projects from the very beginning through clear insight, practical guidance, and a commitment to design that serves the client’s needs.

About MinARva

Infrastructure projects often face setbacks when scope is vague and site constraints are overlooked, making it difficult to control cost and move projects forward.MinARva Consulting Ltd exists to bring clarity to infrastructure projects from the very beginning. We simplify complexity through hands-on experience, making planning and design manageable from the start. We bring engineering thinking into early-stage strategy, guiding clients through the complexity of early design and planning, embedding sustainability where it matters most, at the start, because we believe resilient, smart, and cost-effective infrastructure begins with informed decisions, not reactive design. We are not a big consultancy. That is the point. No overheads. No layers of sign-off. We are ready to step in.

Our Work with Developers

We understand that projects are complex from the beginning, and often challenged by unreliable early cost estimates and planning delays that compromise time and financial control.Does this sound familiar?

Complexity

We’re not here to draw; we’re here to help you figure out what’s worth drawing.

At MinARva, we move infrastructure projects forward with clarity and purpose, drawing on years of experience in early‑stage design, planning, and regulatory strategy, so your project is technically sound from the outset and moves through planning efficiently.Through SaVE "Sustainability as Value Engineering" we help clients design infrastructure for climate adaptation and long‑term resilience while avoiding planning delays. It is not about chasing green ratings or choosing eco-materials at the end, it is about making sustainable and commercially sound decisions and tackling the “hot potatoes” early, while they are still manageable.

Our Work with Consultancies

One of the challenges for design consultancies is that civil engineers who have adequate experience to cover this work are limited, hard to find, and if you are lucky enough to have them, they’re usually busy with design workload. That leaves consultancies stretched, trying to cover the early phase with resources already under pressure. We believe no design consultancy should have to compromise its design capacity to cover the early phase in projects. That is why MinARva can collaborate with you to take on the early stage challenges of your infrastructure projects, clearing the path so your engineers can focus on design delivery.
